Training and Design Supports


We are pleased to offer a variety of specialized trainings by Jack Yates, who has over 30 years of teaching in human services. This teaching experience ranges from graduate-level full-credit college courses (three years at Harvard Divinity School teaching “The Inclusive Community”) to hundreds of short classes tailored to the needs of particular programs, to participation as a presenter in most of the multi-day workshops taught over the past two decades by Dr. Wolf Wolfensberger of Syracuse University. After being one of the originators of person-centered planning in 1980, Jack has conducted hundreds of such planning sessions for families and human services providers.

Variations and combinations of these offerings can be worked out flexibly as to sequence and schedule. There are trainings for direct support professionals and families. The classes and planning sessions include:
